Surfing Federation of Sri Lanka is the only organization in Sri Lanka recognized by the International Surfing Association (ISA) with the rights and responsibilities to govern Surfing in all its forms, including Stand Up Paddle (SUP),racing & Surfing, across the Sri Lankan Territory. Surfing Federation of Sri Lanka is affiliated with the Sports Ministry of Sri Lanka under the Gazette notifications 1990/23 & 2079 / 72 and the sports law 1973 / 25 and affiliated with the National Olympic Committee.
There are 10 Full Member Clubs and 7 Associate Member clubs from Mt Lavania to Arugambay Covering all Major Surfing Points such as Hikkaduwa , Galle , Unawatuna , Ahangama , Midigama ,Weligama , Mirissa , Madiha, Tangalle , Arugambay , including the first women’s club from Arugambay in Sri Lanka.
There are 65 Qualified ISA registered instructors and 6 Qualified ISA Judges in Sri Lanka
We conduct educational programs for Armed Forces , School Level Programs and National Squad educational programs under the guidance of the Ministry of Defense , the Education Ministry , the Sports Ministry and the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency

With the association of the LSASL under the guidance of the ISA / ILS MOU conducted more than 5 Surf Safety days in Sri Lanka.
Completed the First National Surfing Competition Series in 2018 with 3 stops starting in Hikkaduwa , Kabalana and Arugambay and crowned the National Champion. Sanctioned the Red Bull International event in 2018 December and continually running National Surf Championship every year.
Sent the First Sri Lanka National team to India and secured 2nd and 3rd places at the Cove long Point Surfing Championships 2018 in Chennai
Secured one of the biggest events ever to be held for surfing in Sri Lanka - WSL QS3000 International surf competition for September 2019 in Arugambay
Top 4 surfers of Sri Lanka National Surf Team to Travel to Japan in September 2019 for the ISA Short Board World Championships.
